Le musée présente une rare exposition de grès de Tyniec. La tour gothique prismatique abrite une tour de guet, résidence d'été de la grande chauve-souris protégée.
Le château est à l'origine un bâtiment Renaissance à plan carré datant du XVIe siècle, avec une modification et un agrandissement baroques importants réalisés au XVIIIe siècle et une nouvelle façade classique datant du XIXe siècle. Devant le château se trouve une sculpture baroque de Saint-Jean de Népomucène, également réalisée par Ignác František Platzer. Le château est entouré d'un parc.
La forteresse située sur le site du château a été construite dès le début du XVe siècle, mais elle n'est entrée dans l'histoire qu'en 1562, lorsque le roi Maximilien y a passé la nuit. Après la dévastatrice guerre de 30 ans, la forteresse a été transformée en château. Du bâtiment d'origine, il ne reste que trois pièces au rez-de-chaussée. Ce n'est toutefois qu'en 1750 qu'il a acquis une grande partie de son aspect actuel. C'est à cette époque qu'est créé le plan à trois ailes du château. En 1822, le prince Rohan, futur comte Nostic-Rheinek, acquiert le domaine de Štiřín et le château. C'est sous sa direction que d'autres travaux de construction ont eu lieu. František Ringhoffer, originaire de la ville voisine de Kamenice, a acheté le château en 1870 et sa famille l'a possédé jusqu'à l'année révolutionnaire 1945.
Le château est mentionné pour la première fois à l'époque de Charles IV, vers 1358. Jusqu'au 18e siècle, les propriétaires l'ont utilisé comme résidence. Par la suite, il a été utilisé comme entrepôt et s'est peu à peu délabré. Aujourd'hui, il abrite le musée des carrosses, des harnais et des selles de chevaux, qui vous offre la possibilité de voir des carrosses, des harnais et des accessoires de nombreux films et contes de fées tchèques et étrangers. En compagnie d'un guide, vous découvrirez la cave du XIe siècle, qui abrite une salle d'exécution d'époque. Au cours de la visite, vous découvrirez la salle des selles et des harnais d'époque, des accessoires de voitures et des lampes. Le traîneau du célèbre conte de fées tchèque Les trois cacahuètes pour Cendrillon y est exposé.
